📢CALLING ALL DOG OWNERS AND TRAINERS!

YOUR DOG IS BEGGING YOU TO WORK ON
FITNESS FOUNDATIONS!

Foundation training is not just for puppies or dogs new to canine conditioning.

Dogs at all stages of life, training, and ability can benefit from a return to foundation skills.

INTRODUCING

Your dog moves daily, whether chasing squirrels out the back door, plunging into the lake for a swim, or during your sports-specific training class.

Fitness foundations teach your dog to move in a balanced way.

I AM READY TO WORK ON FITNESS FOUNDATIONS

WHY BOTHER WITH CANINE FITNESS FOUNDATIONS?

Balanced dogs use both sides of their body evenly, meaning there's less compensation, better fluent movement, more efficient training, and less risk of injury

Fitness foundations build confidence!

That "scary" elevator in your apartment...the unstable teeter in agility class..that dock on the water at your cottage...what do they all have in common?

To navigate them safely and comfortably, dogs need a high confidence level!

As dogs become comfortable working with and moving across equipment in the canine gym, their confidence grows, which helps them in so many other areas of their lives!

Fitness foundations improve strength and cardio!

Strong dogs can hike for longer, run with more power and speed in their favourite sport and have better muscle support for their joints as they age.

Fitness Foundations teach dogs problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Thought your dog could only learn new skills in a group training class? Think again!

Working through challenges in the canine gym helps dogs learn to shape behaviour through problem-solving and experimentation. This kind of "brain work" helps tire a busy dog - it's the perfect indoor activity on a poor-weather day or when you don't have much time in your schedule!

Fitness foundations strengthen your relationship with your dog!

We build trust, loyalty, and partnership when interacting positively with our dogs. Working toward a goal in the canine gym encourages us to take just 10 minutes out of our day for valuable one-on-one time with our dog.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You're NEW to the canine gym and need to know the right approach to set up for success.

  • Your dog has experience in the canine gym but gets frustrated easily. It's as if they don't know what you're asking them to do.

  • You're looking for a way to keep your dog in shape through the winter months.

  • You DESIRE that perfect stacked standing position, but your dog's feet don't align.

  • Your dog LOVES conditioning work... so much that they can't seem to stay still!

  • You TRY to support your dog but need to know how your body positioning or reward placement can help.

  • You KNOW which behaviours you must work on but must learn how to train them quickly for maximum results.

  • Trying to figure out which equipment is suitable for each exercise is overwhelming.

  • You are BUSY – work, family, other commitments - and want to learn how to get results quickly and efficiently!

Let's start building solid foundations from the ground up!

Why do we take this approach?

  • To build and protect your dog's confidence.
  • To accelerate your dog's learning.
  • To create more clarity around the behaviours and exercises we are training!
  • To limit and reduce your frustrations with repeated failure.

🤫I'm going to let you in on a little secret.

Even though my dogs are experienced in the canine gym, they STILL practice foundation skills every week! Just like a house, you're only as strong as your base!

It's unfair to ask our dogs to do complex chained behaviours when we haven't given them the foundation skills they need for success.

Building a solid foundation to set your dog up for success does not have to be rocket science!

They said it - not us!
