Testimonials from past Tight Turn Pro - Part 1 students

Jan Vlasak

Master/Champ Competitor, USA

"I joined Tight Turn Pro – Part 1 as I believe I created my dog’s tight turn issues by habitually allowing her to jump in extension due to poor cueing and inadvertently reinforcing her for doing so. The layered approach used in this program to refine her skills was phenomenal!

By going back to basics and removing speed and distance, we could get more clarity and improve the building foundation layers needed for tight turns.

The feedback is timely, detailed, and very specific to each team. The resources provided (written and video) were invaluable and detailed.

My dog has improved and is more efficient in tight-turning, and my verbal and physical handling cues are more timely!"

Julia Lewis Lloyd

Masters level, Australia

"I loved this program's combined approach of fitness with agility exercises. I am a big fan of the SAID principle, where the body movements required to participate in particular sports are taught away from equipment first, and Tight Turn Pro - Part 1 promotes this way of training.

The exercises in this program were great at catering to various levels, whether you already regularly implement canine fitness with your dog or are a beginner. Tight turns have many layers, and this program has helped me identify what skills my dog needs to build on this understanding bit by bit.

I also feel my video analysis skills have improved as a result, especially when looking at the mechanics of jump grids."

Karin

Agility Competitor, Germany

"Tight Turn Pro – Part 1 immediately appealed to me as my dog is known for turning wide! The idea of a program combining fitness and agility exercises to address wide turns really made sense to me.

Also, knowing that I am still uncomfortable combining exercises for a specific purpose, this program had it all laid out, which I loved!

The video feedback is like personal coaching, which I wouldn’t be able to afford on an individual level. Feedback on my training sessions helped me improve my observation skills and what to look for in my sessions. I am seeing an improvement in my dog’s understanding of collecting and using his body properly to bend over the jump!
"

Flavia Diniz

New agility competitor, Brazil

"I signed up for this program for two reasons – my dog Dexter likes to jump on a slice when taking his tight turns (versus bending his body), and, as a bigger dog, I wanted to improve his impulsion and agility!

I loved the program's format! The combination of the canine fitness exercises and the agility exercises was awesome—you really can’t have one without the other!

Carolyn's feedback was amazing. I learned how to improve my eyes and what I should watch to better support my dog in his training sessions.

We had our first championship after the program's start, and his turns were tighter, his hind end was better used, he had more impulsion, and he knocked fewer bars! I would definitely recommend this program!"

Lori H

Masters Level, Canada

"I joined this program to improve my young border collie’s ability to complete tight turns. She tends to favour launching and taking wide turns, whether it’s over a jump or coming out of a tunnel. Combining fitness and agility exercises in a program is an awesome idea.

The exercises (fitness and agility) had excellent instructions, progressions, and excellent demo videos that clarified how to execute and complete each exercise. A key feature was the ability to post videos for review.

Over the 6 week program, I have seen improvements in my dog’s coordination and confidence in completing the fitness exercises. I have also observed that my dog prefers one lead leg over another, so I can now focus on this to improve it.

As a handler, I have improved my skills in what to look out for both in-person and on video regarding executing the exercises in my training session.

5 out of 5 stars!"
