Your Goal Isn’t Just Performance — It’s Longevity
If you're like most sport dog handlers, you want the same thing:
A dog that stays healthy, sound, and able to do the sport they love for as long as possible.
Strength and conditioning play an important role in that.
But one critical piece of physical development is often overlooked — stability.
Stability is what allows the body to control movement, absorb force, and protect the joints during the physical demands of sport.
Without it, even strong and well-conditioned dogs may struggle with control, recurring soreness, or inefficient movement patterns.
Strong dogs can still get injured. Stable dogs stay in the game longer.
The Real Challenge for Most Handlers
Even when handlers understand the importance of canine fitness, real-life challenges often get in the way.
🚧 Common challenges holding us back:
🕰️ Finding the time to add fitness alongside training and trialing
🤔 Not knowing which stability exercises actually help sport dogs
⚖️ Wanting to add balance and stability work but not knowing where to start
📋 Lack of a clear, structured plan to follow
🔁 Struggling to stay consistent with fitness training
Do any of these challenges resonate with you?
If so, you're not alone.
The Good News?
You don’t need to overhaul everything you're already doing.
BalanceFit! provides a simple, structured approach to stability training that fits alongside your dog’s current sport training and conditioning program.
With short, progressive sessions designed specifically for sport dogs, you’ll be able to build the balance, control, and joint stability your dog needs to perform confidently and stay sound longer.

Why Do Sport Dogs Need Stability Training?
Sport places high demands on a dog’s body.
Jumping, landing, cutting, explosive acceleration, rapid changes of direction, pivoting, and twisting all require the joints to produce and absorb force while maintaining control.
But producing force is only half the equation.
The body also needs to control it.
Stability training strengthens the muscles responsible for maintaining joint alignment, controlling movement, and absorbing force during athletic activity.
Why Stability Matters
Force needs control.
Sport dogs generate enormous force when jumping, turning, landing, and changing direction — stability helps the body control and absorb that force safely.
Most sport dogs are strong… but not always stable.
Power and drive are easy to see, but the small stabilizing muscles that control movement are often underdeveloped.
Stabilizers protect joints during the hardest moments in sport.
Landing, pivoting, and decelerating all place high load on joints — stabilizing muscles help keep those joints supported and aligned.
Better stability leads to cleaner movement.
When stabilizers are strong, dogs land more controlled, turn more balanced, and move more efficiently.
Stability makes every other type of training more effective.
Strength work, conditioning programs, and sport practice all work better when the body has the stability to support them.

See What Past MCR Students Have Said About Our Programs:

With 5 dogs, a home-based business during the day and an evening job teaching Dog Agility, saying "life gets busy" is an understatement! While I already had a good canine fitness routine for my pack, I struggled with consistency and found myself in the trap of saying "I'll make time tomorrow"...only for 'tomorrow' to come around many (many) days later.
I absolutely LOVE the structured micro-session design that includes built-in setup, warm-up and cool-down -- SO helpful when planning out the day! I also appreciate the easy-to-follow exercise instructions and videos... less time reading and more time building my relationship with each dog. - ELAINE

The power of short, consistent training sessions has been incredibly motivating - seeing the cumulative effects week after week.
Be sure to video, track and post for feedback - this is what makes Carolyn's programs unique and was a game-changer for me. - JAN

The coaches and Carolyn are so helpful in the Facebook community and the other members!
There is a real sense of community, encouragement, and accountability. - MEAGHAN

The video feedback is like personal coaching, which I wouldn’t be able to afford on an individual level. Feedback on my training sessions helped me improve my observation skills and what to look for in my sessions.
- KARIN
In BalanceFit! we implement a layered approach to canine fitness.
What does this mean? 🤷♂️
A layered approach means we only add small and gradual challenges to an exercise when our dog is showing both an understanding of the exercise and is able to physically complete it with the proper form.
Layered learning = more clarity, confidence, less frustration and faster progress.
